Husband and wife team Witzend Framers have a wealth of experience and knowledge in framing built up over the past 14 years. Their original shop at Stalybridge in the foothills of the Peninnes started life as a small gallery and art materials shop. After frequent requests and encouragement from customers and friends about creating custom picture frames for their projects, David decided to explore the idea further. He visited a retiring framer to gain his advice and discuss ideas on picture framing. He then started his training. Being a craftsman with a flair for creativity and building projects from scratch it seemed a natural progression for him and he loved the training sessions. It was all enough to give him the framing bug and the start of a new career! Quality as standard and attention to detail always being his mission helped the business and his expertise to grow, and in 2015 David's wife Louise joined the business and took over the general running and front of house work to leave him more time to concentrate on the increasing amount of work coming in.
Another 12 months passed and it soon became apparent that they needed bigger premises as the small shop in Stalybridge was limiting their expansion.
Having a love of walking...particularly in the hills and valleys of North Wales, they decided to look for a suitable place in their favourite town of Llangollen and soon found a shop with flat above on Castle Street. Witzend Llangollen was born!
The present day sees Witzend now owning their own premises on Regent Street in Llangollen and looking toward building on their success story by continually offering their 'Quality as Standard' approach to their ever-growing range of framing styles and services.
